About Us

Founded with a passion for preserving and promoting the art of beautiful writing, Muktakshare Calligraphy School of Art began its journey in 2013 with private calligraphy courses. On 2nd April 2015, the institute was formally established in Bhandup, Mumbai, marking a significant milestone with the launch of its first Devanagari Calligraphy Course batch.

Expanding Our Reach
Within just two months of its establishment, Muktakshare expanded to Prakash Building near Sena Bhavan, Dadar, introducing both Devanagari and Roman English Calligraphy Courses to a wider audience.

Encouraged by the enthusiastic response from students, the institute further grew in 2018. Regular Sunday batches began at Chhabildas School, Dadar West (just 5 minutes from Dadar Railway Station), offering:
Devanagari Calligraphy – Basic & Basic Plus (9 Sessions)
Roman English Calligraphy – Basic & Basic Plus (9 Sessions)

These structured courses are designed for students aged 13 years and above, welcoming learners from all backgrounds who share a love for lettering and artistic expression.

Specialized Handwriting Program In 2023, Muktakshare introduced a 6-month Handwriting Improvement Course specially curated for school students, focusing on clarity, consistency, and confidence in writing.

Online Learning
Understanding the needs of students residing outside Dadar and across Mumbai, the institute also offers Online Calligraphy Classes, making quality calligraphy education accessible from anywhere.

Certification
Upon successful completion of the Calligraphy Course — whether online or offline — students are awarded a Grade Certificate, recognizing their performance, skill development, and dedication to the art of calligraphy.
